“Lekrings” wakes up too late and allows Riga “NND/RJTC” to win

The Riga team “NND/RJTC” won the fifth victory in the ELVI women’s floorball league, taking the lead today in the game against the local team “Lekrings” in Cēsis with 7:0 and in the final with 8:4 won the result and returned to first place in the tournament table. Marta Reke emerged victorious with a hat trick.

Riga “NND/RJTC”, visiting the Cēsis team “Lekrings”, started the game powerfully and took a 3-0 lead in the first third. The first two goals were scored by Marta Reke, the third goal was scored by Anna Mūrniece. 13 seconds before the end of the second period it was already 7-0 as Klinta Rovīte and Loreta Nemiro each scored a goal for the hosts and Elina Strauss scored twice. The Cēsis women had enough time to score their first goal before the second break – 1:7, a goal from Luiza Raseiceva. The home team played much better in the final third, but Riga “NND/RJTC” secured the win 8:4.

Loretta Nemiro, the author of a goal, received the award for best player among the winners. Marta Reke, Klinta Rovīte and Anna Mūrniece were their team’s most productive with three points each, while Elina Strauss scored two goals. Evelina Barka, who scored one goal, was recognized as the best player. After this victory, “NND/RJTC” became the league leader with 15 points, while “Lekrings” is still in 4th place with four points.
