Norwegian Ingrid Lanmarka Tandrevolla came close, finishing 9.3 seconds behind Simona. The Norwegian biathletes also closed all targets, but with the help of ten additional cartridges.
Third were the Swedes, who received one penalty and used eight spare cartridges, losing 33.5 seconds to the winners. Italy lost three minutes to the top three.
For France, Chavo extended the lead in the third stage after shooting while lying down.
Sanita Buliņa from Latvia didn’t hit a single target in the prone stage and returned last, 15 seconds behind second-to-last place. In addition, a penalty loop had to be completed after the standing stage and the gap to the penultimate place increased to over a minute.
Bendika also went into the penalty circle after shooting prone, and although she later managed to slide into standing, where she missed three more targets, she was excluded from the course.
Two thirds of the participants or 12 teams reached the finish line.
In the men’s relay, only Aleksandrs Patrijuks and Edgars completed their stages, while Andrejs Rastorgujevs and Renārs Birkentāls did not take to the track and the Latvians finished in the final 21st place.

The next round of the World Cup will take place next week at another German race track in Rupolding.
The World Cup series includes nine rounds this season, with the Crystal Globes being awarded at the Canadian Kenmore circuit in mid-March. The World Championship will take place from February 7th to 18th in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic, the European Championship from January 21st to 28th at the Osrblí track in Slovakia.
