The story of the game takes place in 1937, between the films “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “The Last Crusade”. When Indiana Jones catches a burglar stealing an artifact from a museum, he must embark on a dangerous journey that will take him around the world, from the Vatican City to the pyramids of Egypt to the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. The goal of Indy’s journey is to find out what connects all these special places.
MachineGames is known for first-person action and that won’t be missing in this new Indiana Jones game. The game is played predominantly in the first-person perspective, but in some cases it also switches to the third-person perspective – for example in cutscenes and when climbing.
In addition to shooting during fights, players can also use other forms of melee combat, such as their fists and – what else – Indy’s iconic whip. The whip can be used not only as a weapon, but also to distract or disarm enemies, but also as a tool for climbing or solving puzzles, among other things.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle coming to Xbox Series X and S, PC and Xbox Game Pass sometime later this year. An exact release date is not yet known.
