Announcing her party’s abstention, Dafne Musolino of Italia viva said that “the electoral law is the great absentee of this reform, it is the stone guest. It is not established what the majority bonus will be. There is a series of unknowns that cannot be left as they are.” The yes to the reform came unanimously from all the representatives of the majority in the Constitutional Affairs Commission. “If the bill goes with a view to restoring dignity to politics then the League votes in favour”, she underlines Daisy Pirovano senator from the Northern League and then added that “as the League we have tried to improve the text and we know that there is room for improvement in the Chamber”. The debate on the reform for the direct election of the head of government will take place on two fronts in the coming months.
