PKB General Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin reacts to the detention of PKB politician Reyna Usman by the Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) in connection with an alleged procurement corruption case software Supervisor of migrant workers abroad. Cak Imin left everything to the legal process.
“Just leave it alone. Well, we’ll just leave it to the legal process later,” said Cak Imin at the Sunset 100 Hotel in Badung, Bali, Friday (01/26/2024).
Cak Imin did not explain in detail whether the PKB would provide legal assistance to Reyna. He said that the processing of detention cases is handled directly by the family.
“The family has managed to cope with it to date,” explained Cak Imin.
It is known that the Anti-Corruption Committee investigated two suspects in the alleged corruption case of the TKI Protection System at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) in 2012. Both were immediately arrested by the Anti-Corruption Commission.
The two people are Nyoman Darmanta and Reyna Usman. In addition to Reyna Usman and me, Nyoman Darmanta, the KPK has charged a private individual named Karunia as a suspect in this case.
I Nyoman Darmanta is Secretary of the Planning and Development Agency of the Ministry of Labor. Meanwhile, Reyna Usman is a former Director General of Employment Services and Transmigration Development.
Reyna is also known as the vice chairwoman of the Bali PKB DPW. However, Bali PKB DPW chairman Bambang Sutiyono said Reyna was no longer active in Bali because he had registered as a parliamentary candidate in Gorontalo. Nevertheless, Bambang said Reyna is still the vice chairwoman of the Bali PKB DPW.
The case of corruption in the Ministry of Labor’s TKI protection system occurred in 2012. The case then began to enter the investigation phase last year after the Anti-Corruption Commission received reports from the public.
As of July 2023, this case has risen to the investigative level. Three people were then named as suspects.
This alleged corruption case caused billions of dollars in government losses. The Anti-Corruption Committee (KPK) stated that the TKI protection system was not functioning due to corruption.
