Minister Yerlikaya shared the details of the Kafes-27 operation on the X account.
In the ongoing operation, 15 suspects, including the organization’s leader İlkay Yılmaz, were arrested.
Minister Yerlikaya’s statement included the following statements:
“Under the coordination of the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department, the Antalya Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Directorate has launched a campaign against the organized crime organization called “ŞAHİNLER”, which is the name of the ringleader of the National Organization for organized crime, Sedat, uses ŞAHİN, in 3️⃣ provinces, namely Antalya, Kocaeli and Muğla. In simultaneous use “KAFES-27”;
They took over the businesses by pressuring the business owners in Antalya Kaş with the crimes of intentional bodily harm, property damage, threats and insults.
They threaten customers in entertainment venues, they stand in crowds and display their strength, and they establish dominance over venues.
They profited from local businesses for free, beat employees at work who asked for money, and
They were found to be putting pressure on the public by traveling in crowded groups.
According to initial findings from the searches during the operation; “3 unlicensed weapons and a large quantity of cartridges were confiscated.”
