The fight for victory was decided in the final round when Vitoci, as well as Norway’s Ingrīda Lanmarka Tandrevolla and Jūni Arnekleiva, left the fourth shooting stage with a lead of one and a half seconds.

Vitoci took the win, the Italian, who needed one penalty, finished in 30 minutes and 30.7 seconds. Tandrevolla, who won the sprint, lost seven tenths of a second, also not scoring a single goal, while Arneklaiva, who shot perfectly, was 9.1 seconds behind the winner.

In the first prone shooting, Bendika missed three targets and fell back to 57th place, which made the fight for points more difficult. In the next shooting, the shooter hit the target accurately while lying down, but missed a target while standing. Bendika finished three minutes and 42.5 seconds behind the winner, but had the 36th fastest pace in the distance.

In the chase after five of seven races, the French Gillia Simone leads with 274 points, who finished 13th today, 266 points for Tandrevolla and 261 points for the French Gistine Breza-Bouchet, who finished seventh this time. Sanita Buliņa is in 58th place with 11 points.

In the overall ranking of all disciplines, Tandrevolla is at the top with 666 points, including 657 points for Breza-Buche and 606 points for Vitoci. Buliņa’s 19 points puts her in 64th place, while Bendika is in 78th place with six points.

Later at 3:45 p.m. Andrejs Rastorgujevs and Renārs Birkentāls will compete in the pursuit.

The next round of the World Cup will take place next week at the Italian race track in Antholz.

The World Cup series includes nine rounds this season, with the Crystal Globes being awarded at the Canadian Kenmore circuit in mid-March. The World Championship will take place from February 7th to 18th in the Czech town of Nove Mesto, the European Championship from January 21st to 28th on the Slovakian track in Osrbl.
