Jakarta – Deputy Chairman of the Ganjar Mahfud winning team, Andika Perkasa, in response to the meeting between the General Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), who had dinner with President Joko Widodo on Sunday, January 28, 2024 .
“Yes, he (AHY) has rights, so I think everything must be done according to his goals,” said Andika Perkasa in Jakarta, as quoted on Monday, January 29, 2024.
Nevertheless, Andika hopes that the entire 2024 election series will run smoothly and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

“But the most important thing is that we hope that everything goes smoothly and that we follow all the laws and regulations, because the laws and regulations were made for everyone,” said the former TNI commander.
Jokowi met with AHY in Yogyakarta on Sunday morning, January 28, 2024. During the meeting, Jokowi and AHY trained together by cycling along several streets in the city of Yogyakarta.
While cycling together, Jokowi wore a black long-sleeved T-shirt, while AHY wore a blue short-sleeved T-shirt.
Jokowi and AHY arrived at Gudeg Yu Djum restaurant at 07:57 WIB. He distributed T-shirts to residents around Gudeg Yu Djum.

AHY said there were several discussions on national issues during the hot breakfast with Jokowi. There was also time to discuss the 2024 election.
“After cycling and having breakfast with Mr. Jokowi, we discussed many national issues and of course the preparation for the election so that it could be carried out safely, peacefully and democratically,” AHY said.
Ari Dwipayana, Coordinator of the President’s Special Staff, revealed that the meeting between Jokowi and AHY was actually a normal affair and took place in a relaxed atmosphere over breakfast on Sunday morning.

He explained that the casual conversation between Jokowi and AHY discussed various insignificant topics, including the political situation in Indonesia.
He emphasized that meetings between political figures are very important. He then discussed the spirit of cooperation between all parts of the nation, particularly in efforts to move Indonesia forward.
