A six-year-old boy had a Christmas adventure with a happy ending when he flew to his grandmother in southwest Florida during the Christmas holidays. Unfortunately, for some reason the boy ended up on the wrong plane and ended up 160 miles away in Orlando, Florida.

When his grandmother, Maria Ramos, arrived at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers on Thursday to pick up her grandson, who was flying from Philadelphia for the first time, she was told the boy was not on board the company’s flight, Associated Press reports .

According to his grandmother, it was little Casper’s first time flying by plane. She was excited to see her grandson and was looking forward to spending Christmas together in Southwest Florida. “They told me, ‘No, he’s not on this flight. He missed his flight,’” Ms. Ramos described the first moments of foreboding. I said, ‘No, he can’t have missed his flight because I have a boarding pass,'” the surprised woman added.

“I ran onto the plane to the flight attendant and asked her, ‘Where is my grandson? Was he given to you in Philadelphia?’” The flight attendant allegedly told the woman that she had no children with her. ” Ramos told WINK NEWS.com.

She then confessed to journalists that it was one of the scariest things she had ever experienced. But shortly afterwards her phone rang, informing her that Casper had just landed. Klucina landed safely in Orlando, which fortunately was only four hours from Fort Myers. Meanwhile, his luggage mysteriously arrived at Southwest Florida International Airport.

Casper’s grandmother said the airline offered to reimburse her for the trip, but she said she wanted answers to her questions. “I want them to call me. Tell me how my grandson ended up in Orlando. How could that happen? Did the flight attendant let him go alone after his mother gave him the papers? Did he get on the wrong plane alone?” asks Maria Ramos.

In a statement sent to WINK NEWS, Spirit Airlines subsequently said: “On December 21, an unaccompanied child traveling from Philadelphia to Fort Myers was improperly boarded on a flight to Orlando. The child was under the constant care and supervision of a member of the Spirit Team, and upon discovering the error, we immediately took steps to communicate and reconnect with the family. We take the safety and responsibility of transporting all of our passengers seriously and conduct an internal investigation. We apologize to the family for this.”

A plane made an emergency landing at Václav Havel Airport in Prague, the machine reported a tire pressure problem (12/2023):
