The 71-year-old Putin is considered very health-conscious and is interested in techniques to extend life. In 2017, Khavinson received the Order of Friendship from him in the Kremlin. In Soviet times, this specialist developed drugs to help people in submarines, cosmonauts, soldiers in Afghanistan and survivors of the Chernobyl nuclear explosion.
The professor is said to have promised Putin that he would be able to rule at least until he was 80 years old.
