According to Russian media, Yegorov was one of the richest politicians in Tobolsk. Last year his income amounted to 9.1 million rubles (around 2.1 million crowns). He was also known as the founder of the local recreation center Vinkurovo. In 2016 he had to temporarily resign from the city administration due to a corruption scandal, but was not convicted and then returned to politics.
