Norwegian biathlete Endre Stremsheim claimed his first victory in the World Cup stages, whose highest place to date was second place in the pursuit in Lenzerheide in the previous stage. He committed a double fault in the shootout and finished in 33 minutes and 4.2 seconds.

The first five places were taken by Norwegians. Sturlas Holm Lehrid secured second place with two penalties, 17.8 seconds behind Stremsheim, and third place went to Johannes Däle-Ševdahl, who managed to reach the podium with one shooting error after a 13th place in the sprint and a defeat 36.4 seconds to the winner.

Brothers Tarjei and Johannes Tingnes Bé took the next spots, finishing fourth and fifth, with JTBé making three errors in the final shootout. Frenchman Fabien Claude took sixth place.

Rastorgujev made a shooting error and missed the fourth standing shot in the final shooting. This placed him in 25th place, losing two minutes and 48.4 seconds to the winner.

Birkenthals made one mistake in both shootings while lying down, but shot clean while standing, finishing 42nd in the 58 biathletes competition and setting a career record in the pursuit of the World Cup. He lost four minutes and 25.4 seconds to Stremsheim.

In the pursuit competition, the leader of the World Cup standings is Norwegian Johannes Tingnes Bae, who has accumulated 251 points, including 244 points to his compatriot Endre Stremsheim and 214 points to another Norwegian, Johannes Dahl-Sevdal, with the Norwegians occupying the top five places.
