Everything about the new Zara Home store in Hermosilla street
White, organic, natural, handmade, elegant, beautiful. This has turned out to be one of the most emblematic stores in Zara Home, the one on Calle Hermosilla, after its recent renovation. And with this new lookdoes what always happens when the brand carries out a transformation of this caliber: emphatically affirm what is in fashion this season, which is, above all, the trend craftcore.
The path was written from the total change that the remodeling of the flagstore of the company in A Coruña. So the architect Elsa Urquijo changed the usual paradigm that had prevailed until then in the brand’s establishments, creating a space full of curves and natural materials, with a minimalist design and traditional roots. Its walls were covered with lime, and its areas were divided, as in a house, into rooms: living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom, children’s room…
Now, more than two years later, the characteristics of that store are further stylized and refined in the almost 700 square meters that the Hermosilla street establishment in Madrid occupies. The new interior design follows the path traced by the renovation, at the end of 2022, of the Zara Home in Plaza de España, making it warm and organic materials be the protagonists of the decoration together with the finishes cake (a type of marble stucco) and in Morón lime of the walls.
To this combo are added the limestone floors and recycled natural wood, and a great ladder that sets the tone of the ground floor thanks to its sensual and sinuous curves.
In the area dedicated to the living room, the furniture that Vincent Van Duysen (AD 100/2023) has designed for the brand attracts all eyes. Their timeless pieces, with aspiration of durability and versatility, invite to touch thanks to its sensory nuances, based on the richness of the textures of natural materials.
This maxim is repeated throughout the entire store: in the sleeping area, for example, bright satin, linen or percale cotton, while, in the bathroom, cotton towels of different weights encourage caressing. Also, for the sake of greater sustainabilitythe establishment is connected to a platform that allows know and regulate energy consumption, which comes entirely from renewable sources.
The space also has an area dedicated to the dining room, the kitchen and the children’s roomwhich also exhibits the capsule collection New Born.
