WWE NXT 2.0 #1
Ort: Capitol Wrestling Center im WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, USA
First broadcast: September 14, 2021

Welcome to the colorful restart of WWE NXT and the beginning of a new era for the development brand of World Wrestling Entertainment. To underline this new beginning, a new NXT Champion will be crowned tonight after Soma Joe fell victim to the title’s curse and had to leave the NXT Championship due to injury. The show begins with an opening video for the NXT Championship Match, in which the four opponents LA Knight, Pete Dunne, Kyle O’Reilly and Tommaso Ciampa have their say. When it is the turn of the former Eli Drake towards the end of the hype compilation and underlines his title ambitions, someone suddenly stands next to Knight, who fortunately does not appear as Mojo Rawley, but as Bron Breaker (aka Bronson Rechsteiner, the son of Rick Steiner; Editor’s note). The new face is enthusiastic about the mood tonight and LA Knight wants to give him a rub as a welcome gift and orders Breaker to go to the ring. Then the new intro of the show runs on the screen before the usual trio around Beth Phoenix, Wade Barrett and Vic Joseph greet us at the commentary desk and in the redesigned arena. The stage is now adorned with a central LED column with additional LED screens on the sides of this. The spectator stands also shine in new splendor and are reminiscent of those from talk or game shows from the evening program. This is NXT 2.0!

Indi Hartwell holds a long oath of loyalty and Lumis only shows the thumbs up. Since it seems incomprehensible to the priest, he picks up the question and finds himself in the bridegroom’s silencer. The crowd and now calls for William Regal, behind the questionable way a referee dressed as a zombie is driving, but the NXT General Manager declines with thanks. Now Beth Phoenix takes her chance and reveals that she has received her priest license and will conduct the wedding ceremony. It is switched to the backstage area, from where Tomasso Ciampa follows the celebrations on a television screen. Bron Breaker arrives and Ciampa welcomes him to NXT 2.0. The two shake hands and have a star down. Today’s issue goes off-air with these images.
