Thomas Loier has been working as an assistant at the Music University in Vienna since October.
Thomas Loier has been Bernhard Pronebner’s assistant at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna since the beginning of last semester.
“I teach students in the fields of instrumental and vocal pedagogy as well as instrumental music education in artistic individual lessons (subject individual lessons/trumpet/classical). I come into action when Professor Pronebner works in the State Opera or as head of an institute and needs a replacement for himself at the music university,” reports Thomas Loier, who, among other things, supports the students in the implementation of the works they are preparing for concerts or examinations supports.
He came to this position after his own studies with Bernhard Pronebner. “After I passed the artistic and didactic master’s examination with distinction and had an intensive professional exchange with him during my studies, I received this offer. Working with students is really great. You can go much deeper with the pieces and the curiosity of many is immeasurable,” says the 33-year-old.
For about ten years he has also worked as a conductor in the Deutschkreutz music club and as a music school teacher in Deutschkreutz and Oberpullendorf, playing in numerous roles. “Music and making music should and must make the world a better and more beautiful place. But it shouldn’t just serve as entertainment, but also always offer something new and broaden the audience’s horizons,” says Loier.
