Düsseldorf How to get to the top of a Dax group? Especially in a different way than before – at least that applies to Carla Kriwet. From 2023, the 51-year-old will head the dialysis giant Fresenius Medical Care. This would make her the second CEO ever in Germany’s top stock market league.
At least as remarkable as this exceptional position is Kriwet’s vita. Early on, she paints the picture of a person who knows what she wants – and who is willing to accept hardships to achieve this goal.
For example, Kriwet is said to have canceled her parents’ graduation party, reasoning: she would rather support a doctor in Burundi, Africa, with an AIDS campaign – and would therefore not come to the party herself. Mum and dad could stay at home then. Spoke it and traveled to the small African state with more than 40 percent HIV positive.
