Meta’s proprietary messaging app will finally allow you to link two phones to your WhatsApp account.

Although WhatsApp is the most popular instant messaging platform today with more than 2,000 million active users per monthis still a step behind its biggest rival, Telegram, in some respects and one of them is its multi-device mode.

In the middle of last year, WhatsApp announced that its multi-device mode was already available, but it had a great deal to its credit: it did not allow you to use your account on two mobiles at the same time. Now, finally, WhatsApp is working to include this feature in a future update.

Very soon you will be able to use WhatsApp on two mobiles at the same time

The specialized media WABetaInfo has discovered in the latest beta of WhatsApp for Android, with version number 2.22.10.13that Meta’s proprietary messaging client is working on a feature that will allow you to link a second mobile device to your WhatsApp account.

As you can see in the screenshot that we leave below these lines, to link a new mobile device to your WhatsApp account you will have to access a new section called Register Device as Companionwhich will appear automatically when you try to open WhatsApp on a second mobile terminal.

To link a second mobile device to your WhatsApp account, at least for now, you will have to scan the QR code that appears on your secondary mobile with the main one and once you have made this link you can use WhatsApp on two smartphones at the same time.

Thanks to this function you will not only be able to use WhatsApp on two smartphones at the same time, but you will also be able to use this messaging client at the same time on your mobile and on your Android tablet at the same time.

This functionality is still under development and is unknown when will it be available to everyone, but, as usual, it will reach Beta testers sooner.
