How do storms behave on Jupiter?

By studying past reports on Jupiter, experts have identified peculiar events that may be linked to these storms. The colors of these cyclones vary according to the direction in which they rotate, but also according to the position.

Storms that rotate counterclockwise in the northern hemisphere of Jupiter have been found to have a distinctly different color than those that rotate clockwise in the southern hemisphere. The same is true for storms in the north or south.

The mission of the Juno probe was supposed to end in 2021, but has been extended at least until 2025, focusing on Jupiter and studying its moons, namely Ganymede, Europa and Io. It is said that some of them may harbor microbes, but they are currently not considered a place that can accommodate humans as well.
