War in Ukraine: Russia “lost strategically”

“President Putin has used 25% of the power of his army to reap tiny territorial gains,” said the soldier in remarks reported by the British agency PA on Friday. “Any claim that this is a success for Russia makes no sense. Russia is losing,” he said.

“She may have some tactical successes in the next few weeks,” he admitted. “But Russia has already lost strategically,” he said, stressing that “NATO is more powerful”, let alone “Finland and Sweden seeking to join” the organization.

According to him, Russia “will never take control of Ukraine”. Nearly four months after the start of the Russian invasion, Vladimir Putin’s army “will soon be short of men and soon short of sophisticated missiles”, Radakin said.

These remarks come as the forces of kyiv are in difficulty in the Donbass (eastern Ukraine), Ukraine constantly demanding “more heavy weapons” from its allies. On Tuesday, Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Maliar said her country had only received “about 10%” of the weapons it needs.

“It’s tough for Ukraine but it’s going to be a long fight,” Radakin said.
