The ultra-low-cost airline Volaris announced the opening of two new routes that will connect El Salvador with Mexico City as of September 15 and with Cancun as of October 15, according to a statement. Volaris operates in Mexico, Central America and the United States.

According to a company statement, the frequencies will be between Mexico City and San Salvador, they will be available on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, from September 15 to December 31 at different times.

The frequencies between Cancun and San Salvador are scheduled for Friday and Sunday, between October 15 and December 31, the airline said.

“This new connectivity alternative responds to the travel preferences of the Salvadorans that Volaris has identified, since Mexico is the fourth most popular destination, in addition to strengthening its presence in Central America, by bringing to the market the best options for travel, contributing to the safe reactivation of the commercial airline industry and economic dynamism, “Volaris explained in its statement.
