Vientos del Portezuelo: the construction of the water treatment plant is already 75% complete

The work of the Provincial Government will benefit the residents of the northern sector of the city of San Luis and is located near the Provincial Maternity “Teresita Baigorria”. It was toured by the head of the Water Infrastructure Program, Fernando Yanzón, the mayor of the capital, Sergio Tamayo and Jorge “Gato” Fernández.

To provide a solution to the water problem for the residents of the northern sector of the city of San Luisthe Province has a fundamental work underway in terms of water infrastructure: the innovative “Vientos del Portezuelo” water treatment plant.

The work is 75% complete and the work does not stop. The workers work from Monday to Saturday in the construction of the various facilities that make up the complex that will provide access to an essential service to thousands of residents.

“The northern sector of the city is currently supplied with drinking water by impulsion systems and in the summer months, when the demand is greater, cuts occur, for which they receive a deficient service. With this work we aspire to solve this problem”, indicated Yanzón.

The official added that in the first stage, 16,000 residents of the Cerro de la Cruz and 4,000 Viviendas neighborhoods will benefit.and in the future the expansion of the plant and the raw water conduction system is expected to reach 45,000 residents.
