Vaccination in France: where are we? Number of vaccinated by region

How many people have received a first dose of vaccine against covid-19 in France? What are the regions where people vaccinate the most? This Tuesday, June 8, 2021, we discover the number of people who have received a first injection as well as those who have been fully vaccinated in France since December 27, 2020. This Monday, June 7, 2021 (consolidated data), 28.310.571 (+323.971) people have received at least one first dose of vaccine against the coronavirus in France, i.e. 42.20% of the French population. 14.017.162 (+296.191) people are fully vaccinated which represents 20.90% of the population.

Since the start of the vaccination campaign in France, 28.310.571 first injections of vaccine and 14.017.162 second injections were performed (provisional data awaiting consolidation).

Priority audiences eligible for vaccination are defined by the health authorities:

  • Elderly people residing in EHPAD or USLD (0.6 million people);
  • People aged 55 and over not residing in EHPAD or USLD and residents aged 55 and over accommodated in FTM – excluding professionals below (21.0 million people);
  • Health professionals and workers in health or medico-social establishments (2.5 million people);
  • Firefighters and home helpers in the service of disabled or elderly people (0.6 million people);
  • People aged 50 to 54 inclusive who present with comorbidities (1.0 million people);
  • Vulnerable people at very high risk of serious forms as mentioned by the orientation council of the vaccination strategy (0.8 million people);
  • Vulnerable disabled people cared for in nursing homes and specialized homes (<0.1 million people);
  • Pregnant women from the 2nd quarter (0.6 million people).
