The Uzbek ADM-Jizzakh is a multi-brand plant that assembles Lada, Kia and Renault. At the moment, Lada cars in Jizzakh are produced using the SKD “screwdriver” assembly method, but by 2024, full-cycle assembly can be organized.
At the same time, the delegation of the Samara region is working on two issues – the localization of the full-cycle production of Lada and the organization of the production of components necessary for the assembly of these cars. Since Uzbekistan is not under sanctions, there should be no barriers to the use of European spare parts.
It should be noted that KamAZ attended to the creation of production in neighboring Kazakhstan back in 2020, and after the severance of relations with Daimler Truck, the plant in Kostanay can be rescued by the Russian auto giant. Perhaps AvtoVAZ decided to follow a similar path.
