Two people have been killed when they were shot in the Plaza de las Palmeras in Salou (Tarragona) by unknown persons who later fled in a vehicle with a French license plate. According to some eyewitnesses citing local media, around 10:30 p.m. three hooded men got out of a vehicle and shot at the occupants of another car and fled. They have fled, according to El Caso, in a Renault Captur.
As a result of the shots, the two occupants of the vehicle shot have been killed. The Mossos d’Esquadra and the Salou Local Police have set up a device to locate the vehicle in which the perpetrators of the shots were traveling, apparently with a French license plate, which was later intercepted in the Medol area of the AP- 7.
The driver of the vehicle, in which several weapons have been found, has been arrested while the police unit tries to locate and arrest the other occupants of the vehicle, who have fled on foot. The deadly shooting could be related to gangs dedicated to drug trafficking, according to some media.
