Bayern Munich are reportedly considering signing Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa this summer, if they fail to land Harry Kane from Tottenham.

Ollie Watkins appears to have been scouted by Bayern, who are looking for a new striker this summer.

The German club are interested in Kane, but the Daily Mirror reports that he could instead be interested in Watkins if he feels the England captain is not accessible, which is likely to happen given the high demand for the Spurs player.

Watkins has been superb under new Villa manager Unai Emery, scoring 14 goals, 11 of them in the last 14 matches. Bayern have reportedly sent a scout to scout the striker against Fulham.

Lower price than Kane

Watkins’ price is yet to be determined, but he has two years left on his contract and he has become an England international in recent months, playing seven times under Gareth Southgate. We can nevertheless imagine that his claims will be much less than those of Kane. To be continued…
