## Executive Summary
A beloved Washington landmark vanished overnight, sending commuters into unexpected chaos on the city’s main parkways.

## Intelligence Brief
The Kennedy Center itself requested the disassembly, a fact reported by AP News and echoed by The Washington Post. Officials slated a closure of the Rock Creek Parkway to accommodate crews, a move WTOP News and WJLA flagged as likely to disrupt traffic on the adjoining Potomac Parkway. The removal sparked divergent narratives.

The Daily Beast ran a piece titled “Shocking Photos Reveal Trump’s Kennedy Center Wrecking Spree,” linking the action to broader political criticism.
