## Executive Summary
Tehran pledges to re‑join the June cease‑fire if Washington lives up to its interim peace commitments.

## Intelligence Brief
The United States was urged to honor the June interim cease‑fire agreement, with Tehran stating it would return to the pact if Washington fulfills the memorandum of understanding. The remark followed a recent statement from former President Donald Trump warning of additional strikes unless Iran backs away from disputed activities. Iran’s president framed the offer as reciprocal, linking compliance to a de‑escalation path in the region. Reuters and Al Jazeera reported the appeal as a call for US compliance, while Fox News highlighted Trump’s threat as the catalyst for Tehran’s message.

Forbes described the president’s language as an offer to “reciprocate,” and The Jerusalem Post identified the speaker as President Pezeshkian. AP News echoed the conditional cease‑fire stance but offered limited detail on the specific commitments. Coverage leaves the exact contents of the interim deal and the mechanisms for verification largely unspecified. Neither Washington nor Tehran has detailed the precise actions required for the memorandum, and no official response has been recorded in the current set of reports.

The timeline for any renewed cease‑fire and the criteria for measuring compliance remain undefined. Further statements from US policymakers or a formal reply to Tehran’s conditional offer will be necessary to gauge whether the reciprocal de‑escalation can proceed.
