## Executive Summary
Ketel Marte returns to the Diamondbacks’ lineup Monday, ending a mysterious absence amid injury talks and a team‑wide address.

## Intelligence Brief
The activation follows a recent unexplained absence that coverage links to a knee injury and a departure that prompted internal meetings. Marte told teammates he intended to address the situation, apologized to manager Torey Lovullo, and broke his silence with public comments, as reported by ESPN, USA Today and MLB.com.

Reporting diverges on the primary catalyst: Arizona Sports highlighted the planned teammate address, while Yahoo Sports foregrounded the knee injury narrative. Fox News framed the return as Marte facing his teammates "like a man," and no outlet provided a detailed medical report or an official statement on disciplinary measures, leaving a gap in the timeline of his departure.

Details that remain unanswered include the length of any disciplinary action, the current status of Marte’s knee and how long he will stay in the lineup, and whether the team will adjust roster plans based on his performance. These points await further clarification from the Diamondbacks organization.
