## Executive Summary
Ex‑CDS Anil Chauhan’s new claims on Operation Sindoor’s orders, target choices and a possible US‑linked leak have thrust the 2026 strike into the headlines.

## Intelligence Brief
Rediff's piece, titled “We should have evidence”, quoted Chauhan describing the chain of orders behind the strike. Later reporting expanded on the operation’s scope. The Times of India cited Chauhan saying India considered the Pakistani‑administered Skardu airbase in Kashmir as the next target after Sargodha.

NDTV noted that weather conditions spared Skardu but allowed the Indian Air Force to strike the Bholari base directly. The Hindu added that a loitering munition may have struck the Kirana Hills region during the same campaign. Hindustan Times introduced a conflicting angle, quoting the ex‑CDS that the cease‑fire details were not leaked by India and suggesting Pakistan might have passed them to the United States.

No other outlet confirmed this leak claim, leaving the source of the information unsettled. Current reporting reflects ongoing debate over the operation’s targets and the provenance of cease‑fire intelligence.
