## Intelligence Brief
For the second consecutive year, Russia cancelled the St. The annual seafaring spectacle, usually a showcase of the Navy’s capabilities, was called off as security officials cited a heightened Ukrainian drone threat. The Daily Beast described sailors on the quay reacting with visible disappointment, raising concerns about morale.

Meanwhile, a statement from the Russian presidential office highlighted steady development of the Navy despite operational challenges, and other outlets noted Putin’s claim that Russia did not start the war in Ukraine while predicting Ukrainian losses of western territories. The cancellation deprives naval personnel, city officials and the public of a symbolic event that reinforces national pride and military visibility.
