## Executive Summary
Chris Evans returns as Captain America in Avengers: Doomsday after multiple pitches

## Intelligence Brief
Chris Evans' return as Captain America in Avengers: Doomsday has significant implications for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Evans had been pitched 'a dozen' scripts for a potential Captain America return before committing to the project, according to ew.com and TheWrap.

The pitches apparently weren't convincing until Robert Downey Jr.'s involvement was revealed, as per The Times of India. However, ew.com notes that Evans' role may not be a straightforward one, with the actor drawing parallels between filming Doomsday and making the first Avengers movie in 2011.

Despite Evans' return, there is a caveat: his role in the movie may not be as Captain America, according to IMDb. Yahoo suggests that Anthony Mackie might have revealed how Steve Rogers returns in Avengers: Doomsday, adding to the speculation around Evans' role.
