## Executive Summary
Escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz follow Iranian missile strikes on tankers and subsequent U.S. air strikes.

## Intelligence Brief
The Strait of Hormuz is the site of a series of maritime attacks involving cruise missiles directed at tankers, including vessels linked to the UAE and a chemical tanker, the Stolt Magnesium. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have claimed responsibility for the strikes, which resulted in at least one sailor death and damage to regional oil infrastructure.

Additional reporting by Bloomberg and The Times of Israel notes that India has summoned an Iranian official regarding the casualty, while global crude oil prices have shown signs of strengthening.
