The Bucks and Nets got the ball rolling in the playoffs quarterfinals. Tonight, the Sixers host the Hawks at the Well Fargo Center. Joël Embiid, uncertain following his knee injury, and finally very present for the premises while Atlanta must do without K. Dunn and B. Goodwin sick and C. Reddish, injured in the Achilles tendon. The two franchises both won 4-1 in the round of 16 and arrive with the same form. Atlanta was scared at the end of the game but won against the Sixers (124 – 128).
Philadelphia was overwhelmed during the first 3 quarters of the game. Trae Young carried his own by scoring 35 points while delivering 10 assists. A magnificent performance that could have gone wrong if the Sixers had been even smarter at the end of the game. The gang in Embiid came back very close to the Hawks at the very end of the game but did not know how to reverse the scenario. A final quarter time won 41-29 as well as an XXL Joël Embiid (39 pts, 9 rebounds, 4 assists) were not enough. Atlanta wins the first round of the play-off quarter-finals against Philadelphia, (124-128).
