This Saturday, ÉTONNANT defended the French chances in the MGM Yonkers International Trot, the million dollar race in the suburbs of New York. Not really helped by a place completely on the outside behind the autostart, Timoko’s son had no choice but to fall back very quickly at the back of the pack. Halfway Anthony Barrier decides to accelerate but BACK OF THE NECK comes out in front of him, forcing our champion to a gap and to stop his comeback. AMAZING will never be able to come back on a ring of 800 meters and tight turns. COKSTILE, property of Renato Santese, is easily imposed and makes the Italian colors shine with a mileage reduction of 1’11″1.

BAAEED does not remain undefeated but what a record!!!

He remained on 10 victories for as many attempts and this Saturday, October 15, the Qipco Champion Stakes (Group 1) at Ascot was his last race before stud. Hampered by a track that was too soft, the son of Sea The Stars did not pierce the peloton as he was used to to finish only 4th. The entourage was disappointed not to see BAAEED leave undefeated at 4 years old but as pointed out by William Haggas, his mentor, it is a crack that will be remembered because we will not forget his enormous record.

The multi for François Nicolle with in the order of arrival: FIGUERO, STARLET DU MESNIL, POLY GRANDCHAMP and NIKO HAS. François Nicolle took the first four places in the Prix PRIX HEROS XII, a steeplechase for 5 years old and over, preparatory to the Prix La Haye Jousselin to come.

The Prix Carmarthen, a group 3 for 5 years old and over on brooms gave its verdict with a straight line of great beauty where THELEME comes to deprive HERMES BAIE of victory after a superb acceleration. AUTONOMY retains a clear 3rd place at a distance from FOLSOM PRISON. For its comeback, THELEME takes its revenge on HERMES BAIE and the cards are redistributed before the Grand Prix d’Automne which promises to be epic.

For the record, in the PRIX ORCADA Group 3, a Steeplechase for 4 years old, DIAMOND CARL, a Papot ridden by Bertrand Lestrade, brings another victory to the Nicolle stable.
