In order to guarantee medical care during the end of the year celebrations, the Governor of the Valley decreed the red alert in the institutions that provide public and private health services in the department.

The measure is taken with the objective of reinforcing the medical teams in the emergency services, transfer of patients and medical-surgical supplies and supplies for the care of cases of accidents, violent events and other situations that occur during the end of the year.

“We have to go on high alert due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, we must be ready. It is a preventive red alert from public and private health institutions in the department of Valle del Cauca,” concluded the departmental health secretary Maria Cristina Lesmes.

The red alert, which is adopted preventively, will be in effect from 6:00 am from December 30, 2021 until midnight on January 15, 2022.
