The yellow level of terrorist threat in Crimea has been extended, August 2022 – Society – Saint-Petersburg News

The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, announced that he was extending the high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat. He announced this on August 9 in his Telegram channel.

The regime will operate on the territory of the urban districts of Armyansk, Dzhankoy, Krasnoperekopsk and Dzhankoysky and Krasnoperekopsky districts until at least 20:00 on August 24. It also affects the objects of the republican Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Industrial Policy and the State Committee for Water Management and Land Reclamation.

The “yellow” level of danger has been in force in the indicated regions and at the objects of Crimea since April 11 and has been regularly extended since then. The last time this was done was on July 25th and just before August 9th.

Recall that on Tuesday a series of explosions and a fire occurred at the Saki military airfield near the village of Novofedorovka. The Ministry of Defense said that several aviation munitions detonated at the bunded storage area. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, seven people were injured, including two children. They received shrapnel wounds. One civilian died on the spot.
