Hespress electronic newspaper learned that the Public Prosecution at the Injunction Court of First Instance in Casablanca opened a new investigation into former parliamentarian Babur Al-Saghir, against the backdrop of a complaint that had been filed by a company accusing him of fraud.

According to Hespress sources, the judicial officer in the Casablanca security state heard from the owner of the “Renotech” company, which specializes in sanitary and industrial cleaning services, after this file faltered since September 2021.

After company officials and defense officials protested against “ignoring” the complaint, the public prosecutor at the Ain Sebaa Court ordered the judicial police to listen to the complainant last Wednesday.

The same judicial official also instructed the judicial police to listen to Babur al-Saghir, who is in Okasha prison, before referring him next week to the Public Prosecution to conduct a confrontation with the complainant and bring him to trial.

The Public Prosecution moved following the company director’s protest against the legal complaint that was filed on September 16, 2021, as the judicial police returned the ruling to the public prosecutor after it was not possible to hear the complainant, which prompted the company’s lawyer to confirm in a letter dated January 19, 2022 that Babur Al-Saghir “was arrested by the National Squad in connection with other cases and is being tried for them in the case of a misdemeanor flagrante delicto in this court.”

The “Renotech” company, which specializes in sanitary and industrial cleaning services, had filed a complaint with the public prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in Casablanca, accusing the “Sama Holding” company, whose owner, Babur Al-Saghir, of fraud.

According to data obtained by the electronic newspaper Hespress, “Renotech”, which is based in the city of Mohammedia, is demanding that the suspended parliamentarian pay the amount of 32 million centimes that he still owes after he paid 12 million centimes via bank checks.
