The slap in the face of the American star Will Smith, against the presenter of the Oscars, Chris Rock, remains, as the “Apple” digital platform decided to postpone the release of the action movie “Liberation” by American actor Will Smith indefinitely, after it was planned to be shown next fall.

The company that produced the film promoted the film weeks before the Oscars incident, and critics considered that Will Smith’s slap to his colleague at the last Academy Awards ceremony would affect the promotion of the film, whether Smith was involved or, according to “Russia Today”.

Variety magazine quoted one of the directors, who asked not to be named, that before the Oscars, the creators of the new work saw early clips of the film and said: “Will will win back-to-back.” At the time, the quote was referring to him winning Best Actor for “King Richard”.

The magazine stated that the director of the movie “Liberation”, Antoine Fuqua, has a deep thought in the post-production stage and may not be ready in time for its release at the end of the year as he had promoted, and the film was subjected to many delays due to the transfer of production from Georgia to Louisiana in protest against the laws of restrictions State voting, devastation from Hurricane Ida and shutdown due to COVID cases in August 2021.

While the company “Apple Original Films” did not comment on the decision to postpone the showing of the film, informed sources said that “everyone knows the unspoken truth due to the delay.”
