The Ministry of Health and Population announced that 30 ambulances were dispatched to the site of the collision that occurred this morning, Wednesday, between a bus and a truck, on the Abu Simbel-Aswan road.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that ambulances transported the injured to Aswan University Hospital, noting that the accident resulted in the death of 10 bus passengers, and the injury of 14 others of different nationalities.
Abdul Ghaffar indicated that the injuries ranged from cut wounds, fractures, abrasions and sporadic bruises, stressing that the injured received all necessary medical and emergency services, and the availability of medical supplies and blood bags from all factions in the hospital.
The Acting Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, had directed the travel of the head of the therapeutic medicine sector to follow up on providing the highest levels of health care for the injured in this tragic accident.
