The Ministry of Equipment and Water announced, on the evening of Wednesday, September 13, that as a result of the strong earthquake that our country experienced last Friday, the National Road No. 7 linking Tahanaout and Taroudant was cut off for the passage of heavy vehicles and trucks at kilometer point 284 at the level of the Tamsult and Ait Youba roundabouts in the province. Taroudant.

According to a statement from the Ministry, the interruption of this road came as a result of the severe damage to the side of the road, which made it impossible for trucks and heavy vehicles to cross.

The Ministry stated in its communication that a diversion is possible from Marrakesh via the A3 motorway or National Road No. 8 towards Agadir and National Road No. 10 towards Taroudant.

For reference, the interests of the Ministry of Equipment and Water continue to make tangible progress at the level of opening roads, by opening the last paved road section at the level of the Ighil community, as it is the epicenter of the earthquake, within the framework of the crisis management cell created in accordance with the high royal directives by the government.
