After President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the ministers to serve in the new cabinet, while the handover ceremonies continued, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, handed over the task to the new Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Aşkın Bak, and made important statements.
Mehmet Kasapoğlu made the following statements at the handover ceremony:
With the maturity of democracy and the favor of our people, we had an election period in which 85 million won. After that, we said ‘Let the Turkish Century Begin’. Today we are starting a new era. I want to say that I am excited, happy and full of emotion. These assignments are a great honor. It is a great honor to serve this beloved nation. Thank you to our people. I would like to express my gratitude to our esteemed President for giving us this blessed duty and for always showing his support. We experienced this scene again 5 years ago. We had a good 5 years. We could have delegated this task to another friend, but I am handing it over to my beautiful brother. I thank God for being able to do this task. My pride and excitement is very strong. I would like to express my gratitude to our President once again. We’ve had a busy 5 years. As a country and a ministry, we went through difficult processes. We have always received the support of our President and my esteemed minister. 2018 was a start for Türkiye, and so it is today. As the Ministry of Youth and Sports, we entered a path. We have embarked on a path to increase success and efficiency. Our athletes and champions are here. We have put forward a new structure in the ministry for them. Was it easy? It wasn’t. No resistance to change? It happened. We accomplished this together. We succeeded with your support. Whatever we did, we did together. We are the players of the same team, we will fight in the same way as our leader and President.
Our esteemed Minister Osman Askin will carry his mission in this position higher on behalf of the youth. As his companion, we will demonstrate our effort, belief and motivation at the highest level. This is the holy road. It has been a unique success with the efforts and dedication of all cabinet members during these 5 years. I would like to thank all my cabinet friends. Our new cabinet will raise this bar to greater horizons in the best way possible.
For 5 years, we worked and struggled without distinguishing any region of our country, without separating any people from each other. There is a ministry family reaching more than 70 thousand people. I am grateful to all my friends who gave us a hand and gave us strength. I am proud of each of my friends who carry this flag in our 81 provinces and districts. I will be grateful to everyone who supports us in reaching our goals. Everything is recorded. History writes everything, good or bad. None of these beauties will be forgotten. This glorious flag will always fly in the country. Everyone will work hard for this flag. The Century of Türkiye is a great vision. He will realize this vision by playing the role of everyone in his position in a friendly and gentlemanly manner. AK Party cadres have been writing an epic for many years. The vision of our President and the success of the staff he created cannot be understood by other countries.
Our success in our dormitories is incredible. I would like to express my gratitude to all my colleagues in our provinces and ministry centers who put their day and night together. The 100% placement rate is a revolution. This will continue to grow.
