The second leg of the Champions League round of 16 between Manchester City and Real Madrid is in doubt due to the two-week quarantine for travelers from Spain. This is reported by AS.

The British authorities have introduced a restrictive norm since July 26 due to the fact that over 900 cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected in the Pyrenees over the past day.

As stated in the material, this restriction may lead to the transfer of the match from the UK. Other sources also report that such a decision can indeed be made. In particular, the editor-in-chief of the SB Nation portal, Lucas Navarrete, wrote on Twitter about the possible transfer of the match from England.

The current season’s Champions League draw was interrupted in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic. The first match of the 1/8 final between Manchester City and Real Madrid, held in Madrid, ended with a score of 2: 1 in favor of the English team.

The return match should take place on the day of the resumption of the tournament – August 7. The winner of this pair will play in the 1/4 finals with the winner of the confrontation between Juventus Turin and Lyon.
