The Kremlin commented on Lukashenka’s words about a coup in Kazakhstan

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the words of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko about the allegedly impending coup in Uzbekistan. According to Peskov, Moscow is not involved in these conversations.

“Rather, this is a topic for communication between Minsk and Tashkent, and we do not take part in the conversations from this perspective,” he commented.

Lukashenko announced a possible coup d’etat in Uzbekistan on January 10. He said that, first of all, it was in this country that “lessons should be learned from the situation in Kazakhstan.”
