The Hotel Aventura at Universal Resort in Orlando (USA)

At the beginning of June, we attended the IPW in Orlando (USA). In addition to the actual experience of this event, we had a new one: staying at one of the Universal Resort hotelsthe Universal’s Aventura Hotel.

We take advantage of the stay to take a tour of the accommodation and show you a little about what it is like inside. This hotel is a little quieter, it does not have great attractions for the family, such as pools or slides, but it is still an excellent option.

Something cool that we saw is the possibility of entering the Universal park before if you stay here. Let’s go to the details.

the lobby

The area where one registers upon arrival is extremely wide. During peak hours quite a few people gather to check in. There are some very comfortable and cute armchairs to wait.

The entire hotel is quite modern, from the decoration to the technological aspects in the rooms and common spaces.

El Check in

The process was quick, but since I arrived early the room was not available. Something very interesting was that they also gave me the keys to the room.

On the other hand, I was able to leave my luggage in the deposit and also use a shower area that is on the 2nd floor next to the gym. In this way, I made good use of the time.

food services

The hotel offers a kind of food court downstairs. It can be used for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

It also has a Starbucks coffee and a bar. In the pool area there is another bar.

If you like to have a drink and have a good view, on the hotel terrace there is also a bar with chairs and tables to have a good time.

As an alternative, we have the Universal Citywalk within a minute’s walk or with the hotel’s free shuttle if we want to eat or drink elsewhere.

Entertainment

In the area of the ground floor, we will find a pool, which is not very big, but it is used to take a bath and for the smallest of the family to have a good time.

In the same area, there is what is called the splash zone.

And an outdoor playground.

Transport

The hotel has free transportation to the Universal parks. In addition, due to its location, communication with the Disney parks, shopping centers and even the Orlando airport is relatively simple and not very expensive.

The rooms

To go to the room area, we will have to go up the elevators that have touch screens.

Our room was on the 7th floor. In my case, despite being alone, they gave me one with two queen beds.

All rooms have 43-inch television.

As for services, they had a coffee maker and a free-use mini-refrigerator that served a lot.

The bathroom was very spacious, with a shower.

It had a good amount of towels and the amenities that were left were of quality.

In the entrance area there was a large closet. Inside it, there was a safe, iron and extra bedding.

As we mentioned before, the hotel is quite technological. There was a speaker and an iPad that was used to control the room (lights, television, alarms, etc.). Also, if we had any need like soap, conditioner or whatever, we could order it through the iPad.

The hotel offered free internet. It worked fine, but it wasn’t super fast.

In my room, the view was of the hotel across the street.

In my experience, the hotel complied without a problem. If I see it from a family point of view, and especially if you come with small children, I would possibly prefer a hotel with a little more activities for that age. However, for older people, it is a very good option.
