Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger believes that the semiconductor shortage will not end before 2024. He announced this during an appeal to shareholders.
Gelsinger also said that he believes the industry is now at the beginning of a long period of growth in semiconductor production. In addition, the head of Intel believes that against the background of the lockdown in China and the fighting in Ukraine, production needs to be more sustainable and geographically balanced.
Earlier it became known that Intel’s revenue decreased for 2021. It decreased by 0.3%, although the global industry grew by 26% in 2021.
