While we are advised not to slack off in the face of the health crisis, a little flexibility has arisen. The Official Journal this morning published a decree which offers the possibility of organizing gatherings of more 5000 people to count of August 15th. In the form of derogations, the prefects will judge ” exceptionally ” and after ” risk factor analysis ” the possibilities.
Various factors govern this decree and, at the same time, the agreement (or not) a derogation: « the general health situation and that of the territories concerned “, the ” measures implemented by the organizer to ensure compliance with the provisions of Article 1 » (Editor’s note: the physical distance of one meter between two people), the ” measures specifically taken by the organizer to prevent the risk of the virus spreading ».
The exemption can be used for several matches within the framework of a championship, but the prefect can also decide to put an end to this exemption if the sanitary conditions are no longer respected. The decree will come into force in a sporting capital period. Ligue 1 must resume on the weekend of August 22-23, the Top 14 must resume a week later.
The clubs will therefore be able to accommodate more than 5000 spectators, while respecting physical distances. The enclosures will therefore not be full, but this can allow a clear revival, for both small and large stadiums.
