The regional deliberations of the Prix Goncourt des Lycéens took place on Monday, November 22 in Lyon, Metz, Nantes, Nîmes, Paris and Rennes. Among the 14 competing novels, from the first selection of the Académie Goncourt, the delegated high school students selected five books, including the winners of the Prix Femina, the Prix Médicis and the Prix Renaudot des lycéens.

National deliberations will take place in Rennes on the morning of Thursday, November 25, and will be followed by the proclamation of the winner at 12:45 p.m. The awards ceremony will take place the same evening, at the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports, in Paris.

The 5 finalists of the Goncourt des Lycéens 2021:

  • Clara Dupont-Monod, S’adapter (Stock)
  • Patrice Franceschi, If only one remains (Grasset)
  • Lilia Hassaine, Bitter sun (Gallimard)

Created and organized by Fnac and the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports, under the high patronage of the Académie Goncourt, this award, one of the most influential of the year, was awarded in 2020 Djaïli Amadou Amal for his novel Impatient (Emmanuelle Collas editions).
