The Champions League final will be broadcast in clear on TF1 and in encrypted form on RMC Sport, on Sunday 23 August. TF1 acquired the rights to unscramble the final from Altice, the parent company of RMC Sport, which holds the rights to the competition for the period 2018-2021. The final will be commented on TF1 by the duo Grégoire Margotton-Bixente Lizarazu, live from the Luz stadium in Lisbon. The Champions League final is one of the so-called major sporting events, which must be broadcast on a free-to-air channel. TF1 will also broadcast the final of the Champions League in the clear for the seasons from 2021 to 2024. The rest of the matches will be broadcast by Canal + and beIN Sports, which won against RMC Sport.
