The NGK Spark Plugs factory (subsidiary of the Japanese group NGK Spark Plug) located in Meung-sur-Loire (Loiret) to the south-west of Orléans, will cease its spark plug manufacturing activities for the automobile of by the end of 2023. The information was communicated on January 10 to the 77 employees of the site.
On Tuesday January 10, during a central works council, the 77 employees of the NGK Spark Plugs factory in Meung-sur-Loire (Loiret), which produces spark plugs for the automotive sector, were warned of the cessation of activities, whichcould result in a closureaccording to management. The factory suffered from the war in Ukraine and the transformation of the automotive industry towards electric.
