The exchange rate of the Egyptian pound against the dollar and other currencies

The exchange rates of the US dollar against the Egyptian pound witnessed stability, Thursday, at the end of weekly transactions, in government and private banks.

In the two largest Egyptian governmental banks in terms of the volume of assets and transactions, namely the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr, the dollar exchange rate witnessed stability, recording 18.71 pounds for purchase, and 18.77 pounds for sale.

In private banks, the dollar exchange rate at the Commercial International Bank recorded 18.73 pounds for purchase, and 18.79 pounds for sale.

According to the Central Bank, the average market price in Egyptian pounds against the dollar is 18.70 pounds for purchase, and 18.80 pounds for sale.

At the level of the major currencies, the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war are still casting a shadow on the international financial and banking markets, and the European currency, the euro, varied, at the beginning of trading, buying and selling in government and private banks.

And the “euro” in the National Bank and Banque Misr recorded 19.50 pounds for purchase, and 19.65 pounds for sale, and in the Commercial International Bank, it increased to 19.50 pounds for purchase, and 19.74 pounds for sale, and according to the Central Bank, the average market prices in Egyptian pounds against the euro are 19.55 pounds. For purchase, EGP 19.67 for sale.

The prices of the sterling pound witnessed relative stability in government and private banks, and in the National Bank and Banque Misr, the pound rose to 22.70 pounds for purchase, and 22.87 pounds for sale.

According to the Central Bank, the average market price in Egyptian pounds against the sterling pound is 22.65 pounds for purchase and 22.78 pounds for sale.
